Name Above All Names II

This is the second Name Above All Names quilt that I have finished.  We found the OESD pattern when we were in Houston last fall, so this one belongs to Roxane.  I showed this to a Women's Tea Group at the local care facility and they loved it.  They really had a delightful time looking at all of the quilts that I brought them to see.  This one is quilted in the sashing and border with a long serpentine stitch.  I really like the look.

The Kitchen Floor is Finished

The tiles were grouted yesterday.  It took a couple of hours for Dave to apply the grout, let it dry a while, and then wash off the excess.  Daisy gives the floor her seal of approval.  She is so happy to be able to walk on it again and use it for her favorite place to take a nap.

Floor Tile

The kitchen and bathroom floors have been scraped and cleaned. A layer of concrete sheets has been nailed to the floor.  The tiles are finally being put down. All it takes is four hard-working guys who show up at 8 a.m. and leave at 2 p.m. after getting the job finished.  They did a great job.  Tomorrow is grouting day.  Then it is wait for the cabinets...

Then Monday Darrell, the drywall person, started. Darrell swiftly covered everybody's work by taping the joints and doing all the other stuff that drywall people do.  Today he blew on the ceiling and then knocked down the "bumps."  So now to paint everything...
